How to use it

BuildCraft is built on gears, engines and pipes. Everything starts with a Wooden Gear made of four sticks.

Power is called mp;2MJmp;r. Engines make it, wooden pipes and machines use it.

Your first setup: Redstone Engine with a lever → Wooden Transport Pipe on a chest → cobblestone pipes → target chest.

The engine only outputs power at its mp;4frontmp;r (piston direction).
