The
Quarry clears its area, builds a yellow-black frame and moves its drill layer by layer down to bedrock.
Default: 9×9 behind the quarry. Cost: 20 + 20 × hardness MJ per block (stone 50 MJ) plus 2 MJ/t while the drill head moves; more power = faster head (up to 40 MJ/t).
Bigger with
land marks: link three marks (corner + one on X and Z, up to 64 blocks) with right-click, then place the quarry right next to a mark – up to 64×64.
Items go into chests/pipes next to it, otherwise they pop out on top.
Claims are respected (every block as if mined by the owner). Fluids are skipped. While it works it keeps its chunk and the mining area loaded (even across a restart) – you don't have to stand next to it; after 5 minutes without progress (no power, chest full) or when finished it lets them go. The
Mining Well simply drills straight down and stops at lava or an oil bubble.
