Survival Games

Up to 24 players, a map full of chests — only one is left.

Everyone starts on pedestals around the cornucopia. Loot houses and ruins, watch for supply drops and the shrinking border, and win the deathmatch.

How a round works

  1. On the pedestal

Everyone is held on their pedestal around the cornucopia for ten seconds.

  2. Grace period

Twenty seconds: run and open chests — nobody can attack yet.

  3. Loot & fight

Chests in houses, ruins and the cornucopia. Supply drops from 2:30, the border shrinks from 8:00.

  4. Deathmatch

At 14:00 at the latest — or as soon as only four are alive. The last one left wins.

What the chests hold

TierWhereWhat you find
Tier 1Houses, ruins, forestWooden and stone weapons, leather and gold armor, food, flint
Tier 2Cornucopia in the middle, hidden spotsChainmail and iron armor, golden apples, iron ingots, rarely a diamond
Tier 3Supply drops onlyDiamond, enchantments, ender pearl

Tips for your first rounds

  1. The cornucopia is a bloodbath.

Loot a few houses first and come back later.

  2. Craft what you can.

Two iron ingots and a stick make an iron sword at the crafting table.

  3. Attack in the deathmatch.

Damage dealt is what counts — hiding gets you nothing.

The chests
TierWhereWhat you find
Tier 1houses, ruins, forestwooden and stone weapons, leather and gold armor, raw food, sticks, flint
Tier 2cornucopia in the middle, hidden spotschainmail and iron armor, cooked food, golden apples, iron ingots, rarely a diamond
Tier 3only in supply dropsdiamond, enchantments, ender pearl

Crafting pays off: two iron ingots and a stick make an iron sword at a crafting table; flint, a stick and a feather make arrows. Whoever knows this is better equipped than someone who only opens chests.

Supply drop: 10 seconds in advance the chat tells you where the crate will land and in which direction that is from you. A beacon beam marks the spot from anywhere on the map. It holds the best loot of the game – and that is exactly where everyone meets.

Tracker, kills and bounty
  • On the far right of your hotbar is the tracker: a compass that always points to the nearest enemy. Hold it in your hand to see more about your target above your hotbar.
  • Every kill instantly heals you by one heart and gives you 5 seconds of Regeneration.
  • From three kills in a row, your streak is announced in chat. Whoever ends a streak collects the bounty (extra experience).
The deathmatch
  • All survivors are brought to a small arena with its own shrinking border.
  • If time runs out without a single survivor, the winner is whoever dealt the most damage in the deathmatch – not whoever has the most health left. Hiding gets you nowhere.
Lost connection?
  • If you drop out, you have 60 seconds to come back – then you get your inventory back. Otherwise your gear stays where you were standing.
  • Logging out within 10 seconds of being hit knocks you out. In the deathmatch, anyone who leaves is out.
Tips
  • The cornucopia is a bloodbath. If you don't have the nerve, loot a few houses first and come back later.
  • Eat in time: with an empty hunger bar you don't heal.
  • Craft what you can – an iron sword from two ingots is often faster than any chest.
  • Watch for supply drops and the refill: that's when the chests are full again and the best players are on the move.
  • In the deathmatch, attack instead of running: damage dealt is what counts.
Map vote

From VIP upwards you vote for the map in the waiting hall – with /karte or the map menu. Everyone has one vote, voting closes 10 seconds before the start. On a tie, the map that hasn't been played for the longest wins.
