How a round works

  1. Vote

During the countdown (30 seconds) you pick the next minigame with /vote.

  2. Minigame

Block Party, TNT Run, Spleef, Hole in the Wall or Simon Says.

  3. Victory

Every rule in detail

The complete guide — every number exactly as set on our servers.

At a glance
  • Players: 2 to 16 per round.
  • Length: 2 to 5 minutes, 7 at most.
  • Flow: vote → minigame → celebration → next round.
  • How to join: in the lobby via the navigator or with /play → Arcade.
The vote
  • During the countdown (30 seconds, shorter from 12 players) you vote with /vote or the menu. Voting closes 6 seconds before the start.
  • If nobody votes, the game that hasn't been played across the whole network for the longest runs. Block Party comes up twice as often.
  • On a tie the rotation wins, otherwise chance decides. Bots never vote – the choice is yours.
Block Party

Music plays, the floor is colorful. Then the music stops and a color is announced – big as a title, as a block in your hotbar and as a clock in your experience bar. When the time is up, every block that isn't that color disappears. Whoever stands next to it falls.

  • The time until the fall starts at 5 seconds and gets 0.25 seconds shorter every round, down to 1.25 seconds.
  • The patterns get finer, the colors more alike and the music faster.
  • If everyone still standing falls in the same round, the round doesn't count – nobody is out.
  • After 25 rounds, everyone still standing wins together.

In many rounds a beacon glows in the floor. Step on it and you get a power-up:

Power-upEffect
JumpJump Boost II for 10 seconds
SpeedSpeed II for 10 seconds
Ice floewhen the floor drops, a 3×3 patch of ice freezes under you (once)
Pearlan ender pearl – throw it onto a leftover block while falling
Paint bucketat the announcement, the area around you turns into the wanted color (once)
Leapa feather: a long leap in the direction you look (once)
Pumpkina prank: a pumpkin on your head until the next round – you can barely see
TNT Run

Three layers of sand and gravel stacked on top of each other, with TNT underneath. Every block you stand on disappears after 0.4 seconds – standing still means falling. Whoever falls through all three layers is out.

  • You have 5 double jumps: on Java press the space bar twice quickly, on Bedrock use the feather (right-click). The number of feathers shows how many you have left.
  • From 2:30 the layers start collapsing on their own.
Spleef

Two layers of snow above water. Your shovel breaks snow with a single hit – dig the floor out from under everyone else's feet.

  • Every block you break gives you a snowball (16 at most). A snowball destroys the block it hits and pushes players.
  • There is no melee – only the floor counts.
  • When someone falls, the point goes to whoever broke a block under or next to them or hit them in the 3 seconds before.
  • From 2:30 the floor starts collapsing on its own.
Hole in the Wall

Walls with holes roll across the platform. Position yourself in a hole so the wall doesn't catch you – otherwise it pushes you over the edge.

  • 30 walls; they get faster, and the holes get fewer and narrower.
  • From wall 7 the walls also come from the other direction, from wall 10 double walls follow.
  • A hole only one block wide demands precision: you have to stand almost exactly in the middle.
Simon Says

15 tasks – and only what Simon says counts. Nobody is eliminated; everyone plays to the end and collects points.

Type of taskScoring
Participation (e.g. jump, sneak, look, punch, drop something, eat)1 point for everyone who does it
Placement (e.g. run somewhere)3 / 2 / 1 points for the first three
Stillness1 point for everyone who doesn't move

The trap: if "Simon says" is missing in front of a task, doing it costs you a point. On a tie at the end, whoever reached their score first ranks higher.

Eliminated?

Whoever is out goes to the stands and watches – with a free camera, too. /tribuene takes you back to the stands.

Tips
  • Block Party: stand in the middle before the announcement, so every color is close.
  • TNT Run: keep moving and save your double jumps for emergencies.
  • Spleef: dig where your opponent wants to go – not where they stand.
  • Hole in the Wall: look at the wall after next, not just the next one.
  • Simon Says: listen first, then act. The trap catches the quick ones.
