Nuclear Reactor + up to 6
chambers (each +1 column, +1000 hull). It runs only with a redstone signal — no signal = emergency stop (cooling continues).
One reactor tick per second. While the reactor window is open, the bar above your hotbar shows hull heat, EU/t and columns. Locked slots (barrier icon) need a chamber.
A lone
Uranium Cell: 5 EU/t, 4 heat/s. Neighbouring cells and
reflectors add pulses: more power, but heat grows quadratically.
Heat goes to adjacent
vents,
exchangers and
coolant cells, otherwise into the hull.
Hull from 40 %: fire · 50 %: water evaporates · 70 %: radiation · 85 %: blocks turn to lava · 100 %: explosion.
Fuel: uranium ore → crushed/purified →
Thermal Centrifuge → U-238 + tiny U-235; 6 U-238 + 3 tiny U-235 =
Uranium Fuel → with an
Fuel Rod (Empty) into a cell. Depleted cells go back into the centrifuge.
Required materials
Works like IC2 and the reactor planner: slot by slot from top left to bottom right — a fuel cell gives off heat (below, above, left, right in equal parts),
vents pull hull heat → cool themselves → cool neighbours,
exchangers balance. A vent placed BEFORE the cell keeps its heat until the next tick.
Overheated parts are gone instantly. Reflectors wear by the cell count of adjacent rods per tick (quad = 4), iridium never.
Plating raises the hull and dampens the explosion.
