The Seared Melter is the small starter smeltery: 3 slots, 12 ingot tank. Below it a Seared Heater with coal or wood (800 °C) or a Seared Fuel Tank with lava. Ores give only 1⅓ ingots here, 2 in the smeltery.

How to use it

Building: a full floor of seared blocks, a ring of seared walls on top (corners optional), air inside, open top. The Smeltery Controller sits in the wall facing out.

Inside 1×1 up to 14×14, up to 64 layers high. Every layer must be closed all around.

Per inside block: 1 melting slot and 12 ingots (1080 mB) of room.

Fuel: a Seared Fuel Tank in the wall with lava (1000 °C, 50 mB = 5 s) or Blazing Blood (1500 °C, 1.5× faster). Bigger smelteries burn more.
